On 1 August 2018, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government extend the funding area of the "BUD Dedicated Fund" to the ASEAN market to provide financial support for enterprises to expand the ASEAN market (hereinafter referred to as the "BUD ASEAN Programme"). ASEAN comprises Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
The "BUD ASEAN Programme" aims to subsidize individual Hong Kong enterprises to promote projects to develop brands, upgrade and/or expand marketing, thereby enhancing their competitiveness in ASEAN and promoting their business development in ASEAN. The programme covers three broad areas, including: developing brands, upgrading transformations, and expanding marketing.
The grant is based on the principle of reciprocity: the government approves up to 50% of the total approved expenditure for individual projects, and the company must bear no less than 50% of the total approved expenditure for the project in cash. That is, the maximum cumulative amount of funding for each company is HK$1 million.
We provide professional consultancy services on the BUD ASEAN Program, including providing verification fund application qualifications, project proposals, writing and submitting applications, monitoring project progress, ensuring project implementation meets government requirements, final project report preparation, and assisting in the compilation of audit report.
